Instructions for Authors
SIMETA: Journal of Sustainability in Management, Engineering, Technology, and Arts invites authors to submit manuscripts that contribute to the fields of management, engineering, and technology for sustainable development. To ensure a smooth review process, authors are requested to follow these guidelines strictly.
General Requirements
- Manuscripts must be original, have not been published previously, and are not currently under consideration by another journal.
- The journal accepts manuscripts in English (EN). Manuscripts should be written clearly and concisely.
- Submissions must be made through the SIMETA Online Submission System.
- The similarity index (plagiarism check) must be below 20% (excluding references).
Manuscript Categories
SIMETA accepts the following types of manuscripts:
- Original Research Articles: Full-length reports of innovative or empirical research in sustainable management, engineering, and technology.
- Conceptual Papers: Articles that develop new theories or frameworks for sustainable innovation.
- Case Studies: In-depth analysis of sustainable technology implementation or management practices.
- Systematic Literature Reviews: Comprehensive reviews and bibliometric analyses of emerging topics in sustainable innovation.
Manuscript Structure
Manuscripts should generally follow the IMRaD structure (Introduction, Method, Result, and Discussion):
- Title: Concise and informative (max 15 words).
- Abstract: A single paragraph (200-250 words) summarizing background, objectives, methodology, results, and conclusion.
- Keywords: 3 to 5 keywords for indexing purposes.
- Introduction: State background, research gap, and objectives clearly, with emphasis on sustainability implications.
- Methodology: Describe research design, data collection, and analysis techniques with sufficient detail for reproducibility.
- Results and Discussion: Present findings clearly and discuss their implications for sustainable innovation and SDG contribution.
- Conclusion: Summary of findings, limitations, and suggestions for future research.
- References: Use APA Style (7th Edition) for citations and references.
Ethical Standards
SIMETA upholds high ethical standards. Authors must ensure:
- Proper acknowledgment of sources and contributors.
- Disclosure of any potential conflicts of interest.
- Compliance with ethical guidelines for research involving human or animal subjects (if applicable).
- Contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) should be clearly articulated.

In accordance with SIMETA's commitment to open access and academic development, there are no submission or publication fees for any manuscript.
